The hustle ladder

Stack hustles so each one pays for the next

Most people jump straight to 'passive income' and give up. The ones who make it climb in order. Each step gives you money, skills or an audience that makes the next one easier.

Example climb

Washing cars (cash and confidence) → filming the before/afters (editing skill) → selling a 'how I started my car-wash round' guide (product) → a following of people starting service businesses (audience), which sells the guide for you.

  1. Sell a service

Trade your time for money with people near you. You learn to find customers, talk to adults, price and turn up. Goal: your first £100.

  2. Sell a skill

Get paid for something harder to replace: editing, design, websites, code. Higher rates, clients anywhere. Goal: one client paying monthly.

  3. Sell a product

Package what you know or make into something that sells without you: templates, guides, prints, a game.

  4. Own an audience

Build a following or email list around what you do. Customers come to you, and every new product launches to people who already trust you.
